Dale Minami, a lawyer and activist of national stature, headed the legal team that reversed the wartime convictions of Fred Korematsu, Min Yasui, and Gordon Hirabayashi. He co-founded the Asian Law Caucus, and the nation’s first Asian American bar association. He waged a multi-year, multiforum tenure battle that secured the place of Asian American Studies in a major university’s curriculum. He was a founding member of the Asian Bar Association of Sacramento. The ABAS Law Foundation is proud to be able to present him in our 2017 series of speakers and events.

The ABAS LAW FOUNDATION is celebrating 20 years of law-related educational and charitable works in greater Sacramento's Asian/Pacific community. In 2017 we are producing a series of events to provoke discussion and inform the public on often-overlooked subjects, including civic responsibility, our unjust bail system, human trafficking, speaking out under extreme conditions at Tule Lake, and discriminatory and unconstitutional governmental actions. Information about sponsorships and tickets is on the sign-up page.
